The book addresses the issues of involvement of man in environmental management. It considers the fundamentals of the sociocultural methodology for environmental management and key areas of its practical implementation. The approaches to environmental management developed by the author are based on the proposed model of “responsible man”. The author also analyzes in detail crucial issues relating to importing the environmental institutions into territories with different sociocultural traditions and to reducing the intensity of conflicts caused by these processes. In the applied aspect, the author proposes new approaches to program-oriented and goal-oriented environmental management.
