Institutional Limitations and Regulations of Environmental Management

The experience of the last decades has shown that even if resource managers have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with a number of positive options of institutional change (Internet access, satellite and mobile connection, etc.), they are unable to break down decision-making stereotypes and assess these options outside the cultural context. In other words, the enhancement of information capabilities is restricted by institutional limitations. Under these conditions, the sociocultural approach to environmental management on a sustainable basis becomes increasingly important.
